Who's lowered their X? (pics or it never happened)

Who's lowered their Model X? What did you use? Pics or it never happened! I used Blox lowering links, 9 mm longer than stock in the rear, which just happened to be the max, and 3mm longer in the front. I have camber shims in the back, but think I need a little more shim, especially now. On my...

(MXP) I cannot decide between black and cream interiors (out is no-go from the boss), is black monotonous?

I had white on my '18 LR3 and '22 PY. Now I have cream and like it better. White showed blue jean stain too easily. I have no opinion about the perforated/cooled seats tho. I took delivery in Feb.

Did anyone go from a Raven to the refresh? Thoughts?

The only issue we had with our '24 PX (delivery last Feb), was a scratch on the left rear, which they buffed out and the right front door, which is a little low when open, so sometimes doesn't want to latch. Mobile service's fix was to tweak the striker. (Really?) Possibly 10% better, but not...

    Wheel Spacers on Model X

Just tweaked my lowering links (lower) yesterday. My rears look like this, but my fronts are more like the other picture with the flat ends. I have not done any measurements yet, but when I install my square winter wheel set (9J*20, ET 40), I'm considering a 35 mm rear and maybe a 20 mm front.

Doesn't look like it, but your pic looks more like mine than these: Almost looks like shorter bolts.

    General G-MAX AS-07 Tires on Model X

Why don't you add some camber shims to fix the rear tire issue? Less than $100 in parts, plus $100 alignment. Add $100 if you have the shop install them. You don't want Tesla to align it tho. They'd look at what you have now and say, "within spec".

Model Y Uberturbine wheels on a Model X

I bought the foot sensor later as part of an upgrade for my M3, but never installed it. It wasn't available for my '24 PX. I had a lot of trouble with water doing funky things to my trunk and especially the frunk, like beeping and opening on its own, twice in a car wash. They replaced the...

    Hansshow Frunk 2021+/refresh

I never installed my soft close frunk, and now have ordered the Hansshow power frunk. I think I need to work on my impulse purchases. I installed the Hanshow power trunk and frunk in my '18 LRX years ago and the frunk install was much easier, but I also had the most trouble with the...

    Wheel Spacers on Model X

Too bad they don't go all the way to 35 mm spacers. The next cheapest spacers I've found are at Tesery and 15% cheaper if you use Juliet's code, but all thicknesses are the same price. https://www.tesery.com/products/tesla-forged-wheel-spacer?variant=45375022072040 I'm going with a square...

Tesla Autopilot Full Self Driving Month Trial April 2024. Pretty Good!

I was thinking the same thing, that I might keep getting 2024.8.x updates, even tho I bought FSD as soon as I found out it was a $2k upgrade from EAP. FWIW, FSD v.11 is 💩

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

Yes, I was the one who made the statement about corrosion. The shims I have were anodized and came from Thadeus Strong from the Tesla Model X Plaid Facebook group, but they look identical to the one sold by Secret-EV. Possibly the same people, although I paid $85 for my red set. I will say the...

Model Y Uberturbine wheels on a Model X

My problem is there aren't any locals selling the wheels and the ones I see are about the same price, with summer tires that don't fit, or curbed and 200 miles away.

Model Y Uberturbine wheels on a Model X

I've been researching Uberturbines for my PX. Loved them on my PY and figured they may be a little more aero than many of the aftermarket wheels and good for winter tires. Found some replicas on Tesery, but now the S/X are no longer listed and only for 3/Y. I wasn't impressed with their online...

Can an alignment fix X rear camber issue

An alignment would help by improving toe, but at the minimum you need to shim the rear camber closer to 1°. Shims are harder to see than non-stock parts, esp. when they're painted red.
  29. towndrunk

Anyone been able to use Pirelli Scorpion Mileage Warranty?

No one's going to comment on the rear camber wearing out the inside of the tires? Mine was 3° before adding camber shims and getting an alignment locally. Total cost less than $200. Need to fix the camber, then get an alignment with tighter specs than Tesla's, which allow just about anything.

FSD 12.3 update for Model x

Same here. I assume all of us are on 2024.8.x? I check for an update every day. FSD 11.x isn't much better than the FSD on my '18 M3 three years ago.

Brand new model x battery replacement

Tesla can swap out battery packs quite quickly and DRL's are also an easy fix. At this point I'd document everything going forward tho. Hopefully they give you a good loaner and you live close to the SC. I'm 200 miles away, but except for a steering rack replacement on my '22 PY, have had great...

Tesla Autopilot Full Self Driving Month Trial April 2024. Pretty Good!

I bought EAP almost 2 weeks ago @ $6k, then the upgrade price dropped to $2k, so I jumped on it. Same day they turned it on (no new install), but since I'm on 2024.8.x, I'm on v11, not the FSD v12 that's rolling out now. So I'm still on 2024.8.9 and waiting.

Free FSD for April -- but not for me?

I purchased EAP 10 days ago at $6k. Today FSD was available as a upgrade for only $2k so I jumped on it. I DID get FSD, but it's the old version 11, not the latest v12 that's getting all the hype.

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

Anyone have a source for a shim taller than 6 mm? ... or a flat, anodized shim I can stack under my current shim? I want knock down my high side (-1.4°) to closer match the right rear, -1.1°. I'm going lower on the front so have a realign anyway.

When I took delivery of my X, it meant driving my Y there (220 miles) and bringing back 2 vehicles, with my buddy driving back my Y. Since my wife, who has MS, gets dizzy easily, there was no chance to test Plaid performance until after we dropped her and Y off and driving my buddy home. A few...

What Would Compel You To Upgrade to a Future Model X?

Rode in a coworker's Porsche Macan a couple days ago. Those seats had a nice, wide bolster. I liked it. Also had hundreds of switches from the console to the dash, made me giggle.
