Yes, but Tesla definitely "hides" new features in order to not cannibalize sales. For instance, the Model 3 had the ability to regeneratively brake down to 0mph when it first rolled off the production line. It's a function of the type of motor they use. There’s no way AP2.5 cars would be discontinued. Not even a little .00000001% chance. This isn’t like a BMW where they “save” new features to force you into a new car.
2020.12.11.1 installed a few hours ago... (LR AWD, HW2,5, upgrading from FW 2020.12.5 FWIW)
Why are people reporting 12.11.1 installs in this thread? This is the thread for 12.11.2. Isn't there are thread for 12.11.1? If not I'll create one.

Until they could produce S and X models that could do the same thing (Raven update) they did not release that feature to the Model 3 in order to avoid cannibalizing sales.

Or, they hadn't finished the software and testing yet.
That's one hell of a stretch. I don't see stopping vs. slowing down from 3-0mph as the killer feature that would drive someone away from a $90k car, but that's just me.
Cool, sure. But thinking that would "cannibalize" sales? C'mon.
I have the software but it doesn’t do any good without the hw3. Still frustrating waiting for the upgrade.I wonder when AP 2.5 cars will get updated, since the current batch of updates requires AP 3. I'm hoping that AP 2.5 isn't already abandoned after just 2 years...
