21 S Plaid squeal/creak/screaming turning wheel/stopping

2021 S Plaid, 21k miles.

See (HEAR) attached videos. I've had it into service 3 times, never resolved even temporarily, and the latest was that it's just brake noise, and normal. They cleaned and lubricated brakes, but again, brake lubrication is pads or pins and this noise doesn't sound anything like noises that pads or pins make. I've had a lot of cars in my time, and I've never heard brakes make a noise like this.

Any ideas? If someone could point me in the right direction, I'll put the thing up in my garage and get pinpointed video of it for service as they're just brushing me off permanently now.

Mine ('21S with 41k) does the noise in the second video. Although I can't say I've heard it in a while but maybe I'm just used to it? I'll try it out later today.

I hear mine daily. It's embarassing really... $100k car that makes these noises in a drive thru line or parking lot or whatever. I'm tired of it and want it fixed, but service is just brushing it off.

Got the same exact creaking/squealing noise like first video when turning steering wheel lock to lock on 22 MSP.
  • When vehicle in park (foot off brake) no noise, turning wheel lock to lock.
  • When in park (foot on brake), turning wheel lock, there's noise.
  • When in reverse, but stationary, turning wheel lock to lock makes noise too
Service center replaced upper control arms, but noise still present.

Anyone actually get this noise fixed, please post what did it.
It's embarrassing having this noise and getting out of parking spots. :(

I think this is completely normal, try to put car in neutral - there should be no noise. Your brakes are applied and car is squealing when you turn your wheel.

Tip: put minimum posible pressure on gas pedal just enough to disengage brakes. There will be no noise when turning and car will barely move few mm...

I have 2021 MS long range refresh and experience the same thing. I’ve been fighting this battle for months and about had it with the incompetence of the Tesla SC. They can’t figure it out and that’s when they resort to this is normal. They told me this is normal because brakes don’t get used a lot compared to ICE cars. They have burnished the brakes twice and took me on a test ride with a loaner and it did same thing so they said I told you it’s normal. However the car has been sitting there for god knows how long so yes that can be expected but it could also be one that is impacted in same way. I can’t figure out if this is brake/rotor related, bushings, suspension but as you said it is NOT normal, especially when you’re paying $90-$100k for a car. I’ve owned many cars from MB, BMW, Lexus, Honda etc and none did this.
What I will say is when the “H” for brake shows up in dash which is auto the brakes are being compressed and will tend to make that noise when stopped and turning the wheel and is some what normal operation for Tesla at least. Now for the slow reverse or fwd in and out of garage for example is not. Only time mine goes away is after I drive the hell out of it and keep stopping hard and starting again for 20 min or so. Then when I roll very slow to full hard stop or reverse sound is gone. Very next day, I pull out of my garage and bam it’s back! I’m hoping anyone like you has figured this out or Tesla puts some sort of TSB because I’m at my wits end and very embarrassing to say the least. Sounds like a loud geese!

The brake pads on my P100D, 2017 MS made this exact noise when they were cold. Maybe that's why the service center thought it was brakes? Ages ago I had a daily driver with performance compound pads that were noisy, and I always chalked up the P100D's upgraded brakes to be something similar.
