I always wanted to start this thread were “non-Tesla Tesla” events are recorded. You know if Tesla was caught on fire, stock would be down 50 points and articles on cnbs abound. Or maybe if Tesla “drove” into the 7-Eleven because of AutoPilot - but really the driver mistook accelerator for brake. (Social) media favorites. Another example, recently a car drove onto the side walk and killed a bunch of humans - Volvo mass murder spree. Did you even know about this for folks living outside San Diego? But if that was a Tesla? Ooof. You get the idea. Well how about we make a repository of equivalent events that the media doesn’t report?

So with that I kick it off with a favorite. Car on fire. No, sorry, a Ford F-150 on fire two days ago: F-150 Fireworks

´´With respect to the fire fight, unfortunately, those rumors grew out way of control. It did not take us four hours to put out the blaze. Our guys got there and put down the fire within two to three minutes, enough to see the vehicle had occupants,” Buck said of inaccurate claims the vehicle burned for hours. “After that, it was simply cooling the car as the batteries continued to have a chain reaction due to damage.”´´
