Charge cord difficult to plug in/remove.

I just picked up a new Y. I've owned a Model 3 for almost 3 years.

The new Y's charge port has a lot of "friction" when you plug in or remove the UMC.

Is this normal for new build cars and my older 3 is "worn in" and I've forgotten the difficulty of plugging in when new?

Normal. It'll loosen up a bit after about a month or so with daily usage.

When I got my wall charger it was difficult to plug in. Turns out the pins in the cable were not straight. I bent them back to where they should have been in the first place, no difficulty after that.
