It is. Though it looks like it decreases the amount of bed space significantly. Guess it is a trade off.

They should make the Range Extender for into the rear under bed storage, so we don’t have to compromise the full length bed utility.

What was meant (I think) was REAR under bed, where it is maximally far from anything useful, maximizes the moment of inertia of the truck, and is maximally exposed in a collision. Hard to imagine a better spot.
