Door handle permanent fix?

I've read about so many problems with this that I set MS to only present the driver's door handle automatically.

I do this and have trained my family (including 5 and 9-year-olds who are used to sliding doors in our minivan) to very gently close the doors.

Can you replace the part yourself? Tesla is estimating $275 - $575 to fix it before the ranger calls out, seems high?

Much more palatable than the $1000/handle it cost when I bought my car.

Let's cry together, I have had all handles fail, driver x3.
Still love my baby.
After the looks and speed compliment, most people in the parking lot compliment the blingy LED retractors.

Took my 07/2019 build home two days ago; today the drivers handle failed. Oh the joys of MS ownership .

I had 2 gears break, and one micro SW wiring break. Now I just changed LR door mechanism, gear. And LR window regulator, cable rusted and broke. Got them both in, neither work. I tried 3 motors, changed master window button panel on drivers door, still nothing works in LR door? Where is door controller? Only thing left to change?
Any other ideas??
