LA to Philly

I'm moving to Philly and went to AAA for routing, and they have me taking Int 40. When I enter my destination in my model 3 it has me take Int 15. Any ideas on the reason for this? I know there's a northern and southern route, but Tesla has superchargers all over, right?

I40 generally has longer distances between chargers but both are doable. I’d say it depends on what you want to see on the way.

I drove from LA to NJ in May 2023. The trip started with I-15 then I-40 followed by I-75/I-95.
There are plenty of SCs along the way, nothing to worry about.

On the way home we took I-70 to I-15.
Again, there were no issues.

For a trip that long with multiple route options of similar distance I'd pick based mostly on the weather forecast.
