your best bet is to go to the Tesla website, select Charging > Supercharging > Find. Then filter the map to only show Superchargers Open to Other EVs.

These days, we use the Tesla machines when on a long journey in our EQS.
I think the best way to plan is for you both to look in your Tesla app, and note down the public ones.
Click on the three line menu in the top corner, then at the foot of the next menu, you will see "charge your non Tesla". The map that opens shows the public ones across Europe if you zoom out. [I have looked just now and there seem to be loads more open to all].
If you pay for the MG's charge through your Tesla app, it is billed to your credit card. [Other option is for your son to download the Tesla app, he registers his card, then he initiates the charge at 3A or 5C or whatever.
