On route battery warmup - question

Got this recently in a software update.
Does it start to warmup the battery right away if you start to nav to a supercharger? Or does the heating start only when you're getting close to the supercharger?

I often charge with a closeby chademo, and this would be useful if I could heat the battery for this too.. closest supercharger is over 100kms away.

I believe that it only conditions to assure that it is conditioned by the time you get to the Supercharger. I believe that it is warming and cooling. BUT, it is ONLY if you are specifically routing to a Supercharger AFAIK, unless in Europe, the CHAdeMOs are listed in the nav.

It’s hard to see but this is what an X P100D showed in Ludicrous mode after driving with ORBW. The blue arc is at 40C.

My car heats to ~32C active heating for on-route heating, ~42C passive heating while driving, regardless of selecting a supercharger destination/this new feature.

I don't understand. What are you referring to for "active heating" and "passive heating"? How are you seeing the battey temperatures?

Ok, so if I understand correctly, it tries to keep it above 32C and regulates it to 42C.

My cooling system cuts on and off. I took it to Service Center. They showed me the system tries to maintain 65, to 75 temp.
He said tries. It is very loud at super charger, pushing 400v DC heats up batteries.

Correction, pushing 300+ amps heats the batteries. The voltage isn't the issue. Resistive heating varies with square of current (P=I^2*R)
