Rear Camera Jank

Hi,

I'm currently on 2024.2.7 but the issue has plagued me since taking delivery in October of '23. When I put my car in reverse, the rear camera is janky AF. Is this a known unresolved bug?

Janky as in flickering? Can’t see anything? Upside down?

Make a service appointment via app. Could just be a bad camera needs replacement

Almost like dropping frames, extremely choppy video and not smooth.

Sounds like hardware or wiring issues if it’s been 4 months and several software updates. Probably best to go into a SC

Yep, I have mobile service coming over on 2/27.

Mine has been flawless until about 2-3 weeks ago. It will occasionally flicker (for the lack of a better word) but slower; goes out for about 1/2 sec and then back on. Does this a few times every once in a while.

'24 Plaid. My rear camera has been flawless.

23 plaid. mine flickers only when cold. but used to be fine until a few software updates ago. im going to request service soon. hopefully mobile.

reviving this thread, i've been plagued with this since december 2023 on my 23 plaid x. I also get my audio cutting in an out occasionally (usually at same time). does anyone else have this issue?

tesla service says they are working on a firmware update. but that sounds like a lot of BS and should have been fixed many updates ago.

I have had this issue on my 23 x LR occasionally when reversed cameras flicker and the audio becomes sloppy. Gave vehicle for service today will keep you posted on what service was done to fix the issue also has a front suspension noise issue reported which I was able replicate in prescence of service technician let’s see

Update Service corrected the flickering camera by changing the repeater, see job note below
