Excited for this. Can’t come soon enough!Creating the thread as this location is winner of Super charging vote 2024
Irving would be my guess, like the Aulac supercharger. The Irving at Aulds Cove has a medium voltage line deadend on site and an apparently unused parking area in the back. Seems like an obvious pick.Anyone have guesses on where it could go? A deal with Irving or Petro-Canada potentially?
Yea we have a thread for this to track / discussAlso surprised to see this on the supercharger map this morning
People are like to drive a lot on Cape Breton, so having something as close as possible is good. What's the adventure of Auld's Cove vs Antigonish? Being 50km farther from previous SCs? I have to think that pretty much all vehicles going to Auld's Cove would have come through Antigonish.
Or even Port Hastings?
My guess would not be Irving. It doesn't seem like Tesla has worked with Irving for a while, and Irving seems to be pursuing their own charging.Irving would be my guess, like the Aulac supercharger. I'd agree with this - the now defunct Westville location was supposed to be at an Irving Big Stop but the contract could not be agreed upon. I'd put my money behind Canadian Tire, Esso, or Petro CanadaMy guess would not be Irving. I would agree with this logic if it were any other location. There is no Esso or Canadian Tire in Auld’s Cove so Petro-Can is the only other possible location in my opinion: Supercharger locations always hold a high standard of picking spots with easy to access amenities. The problem is that the Petro-Can has limited space so, other than the Big Stop, I can’t see where else it could go. Choosing an area outside Aulds cove would be interesting since it was voted by Tesla owners rather than chosen by the Supercharger team, making them a bit more pressured to honour our choice location.I'd agree with this - the now defunct Westville location was supposed to be at an Irving Big Stop but the contract could not be agreed upon.
