A developer just presented and received planning board approval for a 10 stall Tesla supercharger at a new Starbucks being built at 1 Newbury St, Peabody, MA 01960. This was originally going to be a 12 stall build, however the count was reduced to 10 due to limited space. Pardon the quality of the images - screen captures from a live zoom presentation. Site plan info, if/when available, will be uploaded.

The planning board was under the firm assumption these would be exclusively usable by Tesla vehicles. There was no Tesla representative present to dispute this. The minor site modification was approved unanimously. Next step presumably building permits.

odd spot - but I guess it'll complement the southbound site just south of it. I personally have to get out the 'sparse network' mindset when thinking about DC fast charging sites. at this point, the more options the better!

Probably just trying to get more superchargers near their Peabody dealership. Not sure why the NorthShore Mall next door is not giving them any spots in their vast parking lot. They must have really irritated the Management somehow.

Just got encouraging news that Peabody has begun construction! This may be one of the first jobs begun after the big red pause button was pushed by Tesla. There is hope. Anyone nearby willing/able to swing by and grab a photo to share (I'd run up there but am currently out-of-state on a road trip).
Will try on my way home tonight - if the weather cooperates! ⚡

V4 posts are taller than V2/V3 posts, and are solid and look similar to the 72kW urban supercharger posts (no center cutout for cable management). You can see them in the third picture just to the right of the white excavator.

This is the crew's second V4 post installation (Cromwell, CT being the first with posts already up there as of yesterday).
