Tesla workers shared sensitive images recorded by customer cars

Between 2019 and 2022, groups of Tesla employees privately shared via an internal messaging system sometimes highly invasive videos and images recorded by customers’ car cameras.

So tough to stop employees doing this stuff - this is individual employees breaking rules, not “Tesla” but hey, gets the clicks right.

Probably why Elon is so keen on robots, at least they don’t fk about like this.

Yeah, I gather Tesla was more new-age dot-com in trying to avoid the overly bureaucratic HR department crap - but sometimes, employees need to be reminded there are rules that can have legal consequences. I've seen places where I and acquaintances work that have to remind people about the implications of privacy violations. Costing your company a million-dollar lawsuit is especially bad for your career when the compnay can afford a million dollars and may have to pay.
