    Values dropping for used Teslas

No surprise here. All used car prices have dropped significantly but with EVs the new ones have also significantly dropped in price. Remember in 2022 (I think) a Model 3 LR was like 85k CAD. Now it's like 61k. I bought my M3P for ~75k in 2021, now the same car is 6k less new for the updated...

Model 3 Performance (Highland) - Now available in Canada

I sure hope not. I see the estimated range is down about 30 km from the previous one.

Model 3 Performance (Highland) - Now available in Canada

The new Model 3 Performance, despite the rumours about it being called Ludicrous or whatever, is apparently now available to order in Canada for $69,990: https://www.tesla.com/en_ca/model3/design#overview I have a 2021 M3P. Probably will be looking to upgrade since the Highland has a quieter...

Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

You can't take your hand off the wheel either. Driving is less stressful and less tiring with an assistance program such as this. If you are driving a long distance, you will be less exhausted when you arrive. I already find that just with Autopilot. And with the subscription you don't have to...

Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

$99/month makes FSD way more appealing. My experiences with it in the city are meh at best but if I was going on a road trip, would be worth grabbing it.

Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

I've tested this more and it is just so not ready for prime time. It makes a million little mistakes. It drives unnaturally. Stops are not smooth. It would fail any drivers exam for certain. I feel bad for people that have actually purchased this. The years and years of hype are still not...

Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

hey friend. This is the Canada subforum. Everything costs more! It's actually $16k now

Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

It convinced me to not buy FSD. It's good, but it's not perfect, and I am sorry but I need my driver to be perfect. It doesn't need to lane change into the parking lane and stuff for $15,000

Alberta imposing $200 EV tax starting in 2025

This is always the argument and it is poor for more than one reason. The "road tax" is just a tax that goes into general revenue. It's not actually used for roads exclusively, nor is/was it ever enough to cover the costs of roads. EVs, especially right now, cost more upfront than an ICE car...

Gen 3 wall connector LED brightness

go to your favourite online store and search for light dimming stickers. You can put these over and LED and make them much dimmer so they don't annoy you. I use them on my cable boxes.

Need to replace my all season and snow tires , what are folks using in Canada?

I use X-Ice snow and am very happy with them. I still have my original Pirelli summer tires so no recommendation there sorry.

    M3P: Trade or sell?

I prefer to trade because it's so much easier, plus I don't have to deal with idiots wanting to "test drive". With a M3P you will probably get a lot of people that only want to floor it and then walk away. Plus, as others have said, the trade value goes against the total tax you will pay on the...
