App control when car at garage

Hi everyone,

My car is in the garage behaving some work done.

At night they leave it outside and unlocked…..I use the app to lock it.

Just now, the app showed a picture of the car moving and it freaked me out somewhat.
It went up to 46mph.
Then stopped….. I put the sentry on as it was parked and it is at the garage!
What do you make of that.?
Explain please.

Probably a GPS lock issue, especially as the car is in your garage.

When you say "garage", do you mean a non-Tesla service shop?
What kind of work did you take it there to get done?
If so, first, I'd raise hell if they were leaving my car outside unlocked.
Second, if they aren't even locking your car at night, and you're seeing the car moving, I wouldn't put it past them to be taking joy rides. Or they could just be driving it to check on the repair they did.

I called a body shop to ask how the repair job was going.

"We're bringing the car in right this moment," the guy said.

I checked the cameras. He was lying.
