General question, non-specific to any particular model.
Anyone experienced with similar situation, i.e. looked over the inventory and there is a match.
Went over to the lot. Looked it over, inspected, took photo of the window sticker, showing the VIN. And it's crap in usual fit/finish, etc, etc. To my amazement all car doors including FWD were unlocked. So, naturally opened and looked inside. Notable the FWD has closing issue, weather seal issue, trim fitment issue, etc, wtf.
So, instead of buying that one from the lot for immediate delivery, went ahead to order from factory. Take my chance(s), right?
Next day, VIN is assigned. And MVPA given.
VIN is the SAME one as the one on the lot, been there for about 2 months, because i asked for its birth date and was built first week of Mar 2024.
Are we (now) forced to buy factory ordered car, from the inventory lot if the spec matches?
