Replacing OEM 19' Hankooks on MY

Hankook Ions are IMO a slightly better tyre. Though I understand you are just replacing 2
  2. Q

Adding a Tesla Gen3 Wall Connector as a product in the Tesla App. Why is it

NFC = Near field communication. It's basically an RFID chip - in credit cards, public transport tap and go cards, phones. Your Tesla keycard has one You likely have used it by tapping credit card or phone at checkout. Or using similar tap and pay on public transport.

    Evie EV charging networks

I dont know either, but to your point, I can see it bothering some people.... People only complain when price rise, not when prices fall - cue the gnashing of teeth when DinoJuice prices suddenly rise, but never a criticism when prices drop. However, I dont care abut pre-auth I don't care about...

Adding a Tesla Gen3 Wall Connector as a product in the Tesla App. Why is it

The phone communicates with car via several concurrent methods: 1) Bluetooth for unlocking car (via a subset of bluetooth called bluetooth low energy) and a few other functions. 2) Ultrawideband - a higher databandwidth version of bluetooth if you like for some bluetooth functions 3) mobile data...

Adding a Tesla Gen3 Wall Connector as a product in the Tesla App. Why is it

No, SSId = Service Set identifier. In other words your Wifi network name. No sure what "hiccup" you are referring to.

    Evie EV charging networks

My local metro petroleum has a "happy hour" period where the price of Dinojuiceᵀᴹ is discounted by 5c/L Had one guy argue with the bloke behind the counter when he completed his fill up just prior to happyhour. He was not happy that as he went to pay, the displayed price went down. I was happy...
  7. Q

    Evie EV charging networks

No, you still have to link the EVID RFID to your EVIE account inside the app. They send out random cards but get you to do the work of associating the card to account - which is actually more secure if you think about it.
  8. Q

    Evie EV charging networks

yes, or the tesla app. However I don't know what method is better to stop a charging session. Im inclined to stop if via the Evie side rather than the Tesla side. Ive found that when I'm Jolting and i stop the charging using the Tesla app, that sometimes this causes an "error" on the Jolt side.
  9. Q

    Evie EV charging networks

I just use the Evie card. No preauths . But yes there are anecdotal reports of difficulties of initiating charge sessions leading to frustration which is then compounded by >1 preauth. People still incorrectly think preauth causes money to be actually deducted from their CC accounts.
  10. Q

Adding a Tesla Gen3 Wall Connector as a product in the Tesla App. Why is it

You dont connect the Gen3 WC to the phone. The commissioning process does 2 things: 1) you log in via your phone to the wifi access point of the WC to adjust the settings as per the commissioning process. 2) You then tell the WC what building wifi SSID to use to communicate with the Tesla App...

    Evie EV charging networks

Of course, but the point is that but for issues with initiating a charge, a session would have been cheaper and multiple pre-auths might also have occured
  12. Q

    Evie EV charging networks

Thats my point. The driver might have arrived in time for a charge at the cheaper rate, but shenanigans and difficulties with commencing a charge pushes the charging session to start at the higher pricer period.
  13. Q

    Evie EV charging networks

Would be a real bummer if the driver arrives at an Evie charger hoping to charge and problems with initiating a charge causing several pre-auths + by the time the charging actually works, the clock ticks over into a more expensive period
  14. Q

    Evie EV charging networks

Hornsby Evie Variable pricing: 1700-0900 0.53c 0900-1700 0.64c 1600-2000 is the period with highest electricity spot pricing I wonder if Evie is saying the charger demand is higher between 0900-1700? Some would say this is just a way to increase prices without saying so.
  15. Q

Ausgrid changing pricing for electricity grid access

Here is the rub . It's been shown that battery longevity deteriorates rapidly when depth of discharge is > 25% at least in the NMC type batteries. A battery should be appropriately sized. I'm not sure that 80% depth of discharge everyday is appropriately sizing the battery. In the case of house...
