How does one drive the car when the screen dies and you have no stalks?

This may seem like a rather dumb question, but what happens if your new M3 has a dead screen and it happens to be the only means of putting it in drive or reverse? I'm sure that this doesn't happen often, but it would freak me right out. Any thoughts? Did I miss something here?

There's another way to shift your gear by poking near the ceiling lights, above your rearview mirror, straddling your emergency 4-way flashers red-triangle icon:

They are not lit up until you start to touch them.

What happens if your key breaks off in a regular ICE car?
Duh... you have to call remote service to get if fixed.

What happens if you get a flat tire?
Duh... you have to call remote service to get it fixed.

Some things can disable a car. You have to get them fixed.

I never had one break off.
I have had it stop functioning (prior to owning a Tesla).

No reports of stalks broken off but there are for Tesla accelerator pedal:

Don't break, but back in the day a girlfriend caught it with a heel and put in in "N". A tree stopped us. Too busy to notice. HAHAHA
