Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Question for the brain trust.

Why is it I can place an order today, for any LR config, and have an EDD of July?

Similarly, any Plaid and get an EDD of June?

Not even buying FSD!

Yet some placed an order last July, and are still waiting?
Last July? How about last May and earlier?
For the answer, you’d have to ask the Tesla delivery prioritization monkey.

I didn't notice any seat wrinkles, but didn't look hard.

Missing privacy cover. Car came with floor cover and corner cover.

Missing ANR. There are ambient lights in the footwells and door pockets.

I don't know what bottom of coke bottle is

Doors are hard to close but are getting easier. Door seals are wonky as hell.

Center cubby lights work as they should.

Extras:

Sometimes the rear trunk will not close. It is misaligned. Metal trunk latch plate was dented too.

Initially had really bad shudder/rattling under hard acceleration. I put 100 miles on the car and it seems to have reduced. Maybe the half shafts need to be broken in.

Auto dimming of screens is not great. Sometimes displays are too dim.

From Tesla Halfshaft replacement procedure.... For those that have vibration issues, I wonder if Tesla does this for all new cars leaving the assembly line
1. Perform halfshaft break-in:
a. Charge the vehicle HV Battery to at least 70%.
b. On the vehicle touchscreen, select Driving > Acceleration > Standard or Sport
c. At 100% throttle, accelerate from 0 mph to 50 mph (80 kph) 2–6 times. When the halfshafts cease to scrape, rattle, or vibrate excessively, skip to the next step.

The estimated date on a new LR is probably just a lie. Weren't they saying March EDD for an order in January 2021?

What is the "ANR" haven't heard that term yet?
