I'm really good at not forgetting items but I was rushed and forgot my phone during holidays. I only noticed when I was halfway across the city.
Model S knows I carry a cell phone and looks to connect to it every time I use it, so it seemed to me that having an option to notify that expected cellphone has not connected could be really handy for folks who forget their phone at least once a year
Closest I could find here with a search was this:
Hidden gem feature, never forget your cell phone again.
Seems this OP had a popup save them but they suspected it was a lucky coincidence that they (may have ?) had the phone app up at the time. I'm thinking that something that's automatic can be helpful to more people, especially those that don't forget their phones regularly.
I tried a Tweet to Tesla and Elon but there's a S/N ratio problem there lol

Seems to me that this is a natural for S/X users as it ends with Model 3 since they're using a phone as the key.
