I did about 12,000 km on a recent trip from Sydney to Darwin and back, and never really felt I had a handle on what range my model 3 LR really had. I know head wind, and elevation make a difference, but to be honest my route was very flat, and I only really had bad head wind one day which I factored out.
So, here is a busy graph of my wh/km readings across the trip. The blue line is what the car consumed in wh/km. The other lines are possible reasons:
Red circles - exception circumstances
Black line - Average highway speed.
Green line - Vehicle load (extra weight)
Purple Line - Road construction.
As you can see, the only thing that fits the graph is a combination of road-type and speed. Does that make sense?
