Anyone with pre-refresh Model S have FSD 12?

As someone (I suppose a sucker) who paid for FSD when purchasing my car in 2019, I'm irked to be stuck in FSD 11.x while Musk brags about how all new cars will include test drive showing off the virtues of FSD and that everyone is getting a free trial. I have no problem with anyone getting a free trial, but how about taking care of the thousands (of fools) who already paid for this software? And if it requires some hardware bump, that cost is on Tesla -- and we shouldn't have to sit in the dark waiting.

Curious if anyone else who has a pre-refresh S has been granted access to the latest version. If so, maybe it's heading to my car soon.

Anyone that have purchased FSD during this latest price drop received software update V12 pushed to their vehicles? I just got AP 3.0 computer installed on my 2016 Model S (AP 2.0) and still waiting for the OTA update for V12 FSD.

I am realizing that I still have MCU1 and the updates for legacy infotainment vehicles is being release slowly.
Ah, there you go. "Released slowly" for MCU1...well, maybe. I've seen literally a small sample of such folks here and those were December 2022 if I recall correctly. No updates in a while. I'd say there is a 99 99% chance MCU1 will never see FSD in any serious functionality.

Having said that, except for lane change capabilities it can do a decent job on the freeway but that's not FSD.

If you really want FSD, buy the MCU2.

Agreed...I just upgraded to MCU2 in my 2016 Model S and the service center updated the software to 2024.3.20 which included FSD 12.3.5. I was in the beta queue for a long time before that and never got it (until I upgraded MCU)

I presume that you already have AP 3.0 with upgraded cameras as part of the FSD purchase. If so, what was the price you paid for the infotainment upgrade? Some reporting $1,750 (which applies to any vehicles with hardware version other than 2.0 and 2.5 hardware) but others reported that Tesla was charging $2,250. Just curious.

Yes, I already had the AP3.0 with upgraded cameras. The upgrade was $1750 + $500 (FM Radio).

Looking for some help!! I have a '17 MS 100D with MCU1, FSD paid for, upgraded computer and cameras. I asked why I still haven't been enrolled to beta (opted in over a year ago) and was told that I need to upgrade to MCU2 because the Tegra system couldn't handle FSD. I stated that was incorrect, that vehicles with MCU1 have FSD and they said I would need to provide VIN numbers as proof. Looking for people to send VIN numbers to prove the service center wrong. Thanks

There's a small handful of MCU1 cars with Beta and they are stuck on 10.69 (if this forum search is correct).

Upgrade your MCU or take Tesla to small claims court and get your money back.

The small handful of MCU1 cars that got beta had it disabled a few weeks later because it didn't work. Currently there are no MCU 1 cars running FSD. MCU 1 is not compatible with FSD The service center is correct. The question remains if Tesla is going to do as promised and upgrade the MCU ,at no cost, to be compatible with FSD.

Did they ever promise that?
