Only 5km from Rochedale and arguable serving a similar purpose (Pacific Motorway traffic), although obviously some differential local catchment.

Based on the info in the Qld Govt thread, don't think any government funding attached - it was more regional focused.

Yes this is really close to Rochedale. I wonder if they will keep both open? It would have been more logical to place the next one in the western suburbs, maybe near Springfield Lakes or Ipswich.

Rochedale was fairly busy during holiday times (personal observation - limited visits).

It could be that the Springwood charger is an alternative to expanding Rochedale?

I'd think so. Rochedale is only a year old and pretty sure Tesla only does long term leases for permanent sites given the investment required (save for incidents like Toombul's closure after floods)
