Supercharger - Houston, TX - Queensbury Lane (CITYCENTRE)

There are no gates to get into this garage. Before the charger installation, those spots were for valet or paid parking. Typically, the garages at citycenter are paid parking on the first floor (paid via numbered spot and pay stall) and free on upper levels. No idea how the supercharger will...

Browser forces HTTPS on HTTP site

the configuration you’ve chosen for your setup is nonstandard and will continue to be problematic. YoI probably won’t like this advice, but your best bet would be to change your we server config. Run your site on 80 and SSL on 443. Move your email to another port altogether.

    MCU1 to MCU2 with warranty...question?

I can confirm after having this situation myself under the used car warranty. You have 2 choices. Replace the MCU1 under warranty. Or, you pay $1750 for the infotainment upgrade plus another $500 to keep FM+satellite radio if you elect to. You cant keep any parts. There’s no negotiating...

Huge forum graphic in RSS feed articles

There’s an 800x800 forum social media graphic being injected into the top of the articles in the RSS feed. Any chance this could be eliminated? Screenshot (viewed in an iPad web browser on the Feedly site): Graphic URL: https://teslamotorsclub.com/favicons/Social_Media_800x800.png Feed...

I’m not sure what the issue is with the supercharger, but they’ve closed the whole level of the parking garage they’re on as well.

Update removed Sirius/XM selection from infotainment screen

Update: it took a mobile tech being on site working with the remote support engineers to get my SiriusXM back online. I’m happily back in business now.

Update removed Sirius/XM selection from infotainment screen

I've got support working on mine remotely today. They got it back, well, sorta. It's like my audio interface has reverted to the way it was over a year ago now. I don't see the "Sources" option inside the audio options anymore letting me hide TuneIn or Spotify that I don't use. Nor do I see...

Charger with data sharing to power company?

Just pointing out the obvious here, but make sure you weigh the benefits of the financial incentives against having to use a plug adapter with a non-Tesla home charger.

I don’t believe the Tesla Wall Connector does this, but you might have better luck with your question over in this forum: North America

    No Direction when on Phone

Just one man’s opinion here, but I’m happy with the functionality as is. I can’t imagine anything more frustrating than missing an important part of the phone call for a “keep straight” type of navigation alert.

    Integrating Tesla into Alexa. Possible?

The trigger to open the Tesla’s garage door needs to come from the car’s geolocation, not your phone as you already know. I’m not sure how you’re going to do this without a cumbersome hack. I’d recommend spending the $300 on the homelink - it’ll just work. Lots of others go to great lengths...

Autosteer not as good as Volvo, others?

I stand by my statement. You’re referencing marketing hype videos, forward looking statements, and Elon’s visions and hopes for the future. These have absolutely nothing to do with the “hands on the wheel” nag we have today.

Any experience with the new Tesla home ev charger?

I know this isn’t exactly on topic, but am curious why you’d choose anything other than the Tesla charger, especially since you’d have to mess with an adapter?

Autosteer not as good as Volvo, others?

You can thank the idiots that posted videos of no-hands driving from the back seat for this. Not Tesla’s fault. The steering wheel is looking for simple rotational pressure. By “wiggling” the wheel, sounds like you’re over correcting. Applying slightly more force to the wheel should be...

Car keeps switching from WiFi to LTE...

I’ve always looked at the $10 as covering Tesla’s bandwidth costs. In addition to traffic and satellite, features like music streaming, video streaming, and web browsing are use lots of bandwidth and are covered by the fee.

    Model 3 12v battery dead

All 12V batteries have a finite life. They work great until suddenly they fail. Occurs the same way in ICE cars.

myQ WiFi Garage Opener - No Homelink

You clarified the wrong point @minsara_visiri . You don’t have a homelink icon on your screen because you don’t have homelink installed, a point which we all understand. If your question was will there me a MyQ integrated option for Tesla? I’d say no. It’s not like Tesla to integrate with...

myQ WiFi Garage Opener - No Homelink

I agree that it’s unclear what you’re trying to do here. If you want automated opening/closing of your garage door as you arrive/leave then buy the homelink module. No telling when (or IF) something else will be coming nor whether said new feature would actually be compatible with your MyQ setup.

    Haven’t heard anything from Tesla

For what it’s worth, I do believe they are interested in a long term relationship- but not through swag, phone calls, or emails. Instead, they continue to release new features for the car you already purchased. This is a pretty big differentiator from traditional auto manufacturers.

Once again, you’re reinventing the wheel. Cabin overheat protection is built in the car and solves for this problem. Why won’t you use it?

I'm new to Tesla but I have this one question

If I understand your question correctly, the feature is designed to protect your car's interior from damage caused by overheating. I’ve enabled it and never worried about the battery usage.

Tesla Service - still a complete joke?

Most of your complaints center around your choice to live 80 miles from the service center. Not Tesla’s fault. The last time I checked with a mobile ranger, they don’t work on issues that require the car to be lifted. It seems highly probable that lifting the car would be required to...

Inconsistent control of sunroof and AC through the App

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago in my 2015 MS. Dead MCU and A/C ran for a solid 24 hours before it magically shut off. Mobile service said it was a software bug and had filled the memory. As a result of the memory being full, the MCU wouldn’t boot. They flushed the memory...
