Vt. House greenlights bill requiring fossil fuel companies to pay for climate change damage
The money probably should go into state EV tax credit.

U.S. Power and NatGas Prices Plummet to Below Zero | OilPrice.com
U.S. spot power and natural gas prices plummeted into negative territory across Texas, California, and Arizona on Tuesdayoilprice.com

Spring and Fall.
What does negative pricing mean? There's so much supply that they're looking for storage capacity and are willing to pay for that capacity?
If price arbitrage opportunities continue to strengthen, we will probably see more depleted oil/NG fields/reservoirs used for underground storage. This should help with seasonal demand and production related spot price fluctuations.

Actually fossil fuels should stay in the ground. If extra fossil fuels are produced they shouldn't go on sale at a lower price but they should go back in the ground hoping that they will never be used.So you pump it out of the ground only to put it back into the ground? LOL

Batteries are taking on gas plants to power California's nights
California's record 10 gigawatts of grid batteries are finally pushing solar generation into post-sunset hours at a meaningful scale, new data shows.www.canarymedia.com
That 2023 to 2024 reduction in gas power plant production was a huge one! It probably coincides with the 2 PGE megapack sites coming online last year.
So now that we have empirical data proving out JB Straubel's thesis, how long before the rest of the world deploys more batteries to pair with their renewable energy? CATL is already marketing their version of the megapacks (without inverters). This should significantly help their coal reduction plans.
Former President Donald J. Trump told a group of oil executives and lobbyists gathered at a dinner at his Mar-a-Lago resort last month that they should donate $1 billion to his presidential campaign because, if elected, he would roll back environmental rules that he said hampered their industry, according to two people who were there.

If this happens, I'm all for BYD coming over and flooding our market. I know they said they were not thinking about us right now, but anyone trying to stop this renewable energy transition can go ya know...themselves.I need two reaction emojis for this... One that's "thanks for sharing", and two "puke all over the floor". That level of obvious and outright corruption I would expect from Nigeria, not the USA. I'm not so naive to think it hasn't happened constantly in the past, but the brazenness of admitting outright that the government is for sale is just disgusting.
We really need a third party that's serious about reform, and badly.
