About Zink Wheels

I founded Zink Wheels in 2020 to be a premiere designer and supplier of wheels and wheel-related products for Tesla vehicles.

Having personally owned Teslas for several years, I saw that something was missing in the universe of Tesla aftermarket parts and accessories. That missing piece was a great selection of beautiful-looking, engineered wheels to compliment your amazing Tesla automobile.

Admittedly, there are already options available for those who want to replace the stock Tesla wheels in an effort to make their vehicle look unique... but I believe that many of the options lack creativity and inspiration... and many simply don't belong on a Tesla.

I believe that Tesla designs beautiful vehicles, and that it's only fitting that they roll on beautiful wheels. This is why I sat down at my desk in 2020 and started designing custom wheels that I felt truly belong on a Tesla.

Beauty and Performance

Every set of Zink Wheels is designed to perform two very important functions:

1. To help your Tesla look great.
2. To help your Tesla perform great.

To that end, all Zink Wheels are designed using the latest Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D modelling / simulation techniques to be lightweight and King Kong strong. They are then CNC-machined from fully-forged, solid aluminum... providing a higher-strength and lighter-weight product than cast, rotary-forged, flow-forged, or other common wheel manufacturing methods.

Are there lighter wheels available? Sure there are... and if you don't mind making your Tesla look like a Honda, then go pick up a set of forged racing wheels and have fun. If you want your Tesla to truly turn heads, though... then consider rolling on something a bit more sophisticated.

Tested and Certified

All Zink Wheels designs are tested and certified by an independent third party against industry strength and safety standards published by JWL (Japan) and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). Following are the three types of tests that are performed:

Radial Fatigue: Testing which verifies that the wheel is fully capable of handling the strong vertical forces created by the weight of the vehicle while driving.

Cornering Fatigue: Testing which verifies that the wheel is fully capable of handling the strong horizontal forces created by the vehicle cornering at high speeds.

Lateral Impact: Testing which verifies that the wheel is fully capable of handling the strong horizontal impact forces created if the wheel impacts a solid barrier while driving at a high speed, such as a concrete curb.

Certification documentation for each Zink Wheels design is available upon request.

My Mission

I believe that one of the biggest reasons why Tesla has been so successful over the past decade is because of their ability to make Electric Vehicles sexy. Tesla wasn't the first auto manufacturer in the game; GM and others have dabbled in electric powertrains for decades, but their attempts were boring and lacked inspiration.

The main difference between Tesla vehicles and other "wannabes" like the Chevy Bolt, Nissan Leaf, etc... is that the Tesla Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y are S3XY. Period.

...and I want to help you to make your Tesla EVEN MORE S3XY with beautiful wheels and accessories to set your car apart from all the others.

Your friend,
-- Tony Zink
