Thanks, we used this method with the S, but we had the transponder at the bottom of the plate. At first we tried mounting upside down so the label was not visible, but that didn't work, so we installed it right side up and put black tape over the label. We tied the plate and transponder to the grille with zip ties, but our S is old so we did not have to worry about any sensor interference.
