    Need help isolating rattle

OK well I think it is coming from the small speaker on top of the door. What do you all think? It is much louder in the driver seat. It is intermittent so it doesn't do it on every bump. You can hear it really well at the 1:00 mark.

    MYP Factory Tire Poll

If your concered about wheels and tires a new set from T sport line would be cheaper and quicker than buying a LR. Plus you get to keep the speed 😎 19s or 20s will be able to be rotated and you will have more options for replacement rubber. The 21s look so good though. I’m keeping them on...

    Need help isolating rattle

I don’t think so. I checked that by tapping different places. What I’m doing is using my GoPro and will move it around over the course of several days or weeks to try and isolate where it is coming from. I started today with the seatbelt adjuster. It has to be something in close proximity to...

How to find out the maker of the battery?

Tesla used Panasonic cells in the US and Signed on with LG to supply China later on in 2020. An early 2020 would be either LR or P and have the Panasonic cells assembled at giga Nevada.

2022 Model Y not powering on locked out

Sounds like a bad 12v battery. See the two minute mark of this video.

    Issue with Level 2 Charger

Something wrong with charger sounds like. Should not overheat after charging for only a few mins. Strange that it’s only doing it with the Y and not the leaf.

    Tax Credit and MY order/delivery

I believe the EPA determines this. My understanding is that EPA approval is needed before the vehicle can be brought to market. NHTSA classifies vehicles. No expert on this though I will say in Maryland the MY is registered as a Utility Vehicle.

    Tax Credit and MY order/delivery

Model Y is considered an SUV. No problems for the MY unless you order the MYP and FSD as that will push it over $80,000 at current pricing. The vehicle most affected is the M3 LR and P models since they are both over the limit for their vehicle class. As far as how Tesla handles it I think...

    Need help isolating rattle

I have a rattle that I’m trying to isolate and have been unsuccessful thus far. My best guess is either the window or the door latch on the driver side as what it sounds like. It’s intermittent and only happens at speeds below 40 Mph Passenger can’t hear it and it’s most evident on roads that...

    MYP Factory Tire Poll

Are you sure they are all waiting to be delivered? As far as I know they all come with AS tires now.

Mobile Service keeps changing to SC

I wound up taking it in. The SC was overwhelmed with vehicles and so in my spare time I will chase down the source of the rattle. The clips cheap enough I’ll just buy and install myself. When you say knock or rattle I think that means it has to come in. It’s intermittent and not loud. The...

Mobile Connector vs. Wall Connector for Outdoors

Like jcoanoe suggested a lockable weatherproof enclosure sounds like a good idea if security is a concern. Wearing out the contacts on the 14-50 could cause melting and burning. Not worth the risk.

Mobile Connector vs. Wall Connector for Outdoors

It will work but it’s not Ideal. The best setup is a hard wired Tesla wall connector. It has the added benefit of being more aesthetically pleasing as well. Then you can keep your mobile connector in the vehicle in the event you need to charge while traveling.
