Given what's happening with Supercharging construction, I was relieved to see that it looks like work has begun on this one, judging by the activity on the building permit (issued, and a couple of inspections completed)

I was at a fully occupied Supercharger in Santa Barbara months ago, and a paintless dent removal guy was taking up a charging spot while he was doing a repair on a Tesla that was charging. It took about 10 minutes to figure out that he was being an a-hole, and moved out of the way.

Drove by today after watching the Falcon 9 stick the landing, and saw this

Good location. The Los Olivos Grocery is a nice spot, and it’s right on the way that the nav system takes you when you’re traveling on the coast route

Was poking around for other DCFC permits in Santa Barbara County, and came across this one in Orcutt (though the address lists Santa Maria). Permit Application

I haven’t checked progress on this one in a while. But if you’re heading north on the 101, the Supercharger at State Street and the 101 is right off the freeway. Tesla actually did a great job siting that one.

Drove through the Foods Co/Walmart lot today and no sign of construction yet.

That is not terrible. I pay that much when I use a city-owned level 2 charger in Santa Barbara. Now if Tesla would finally get around to releasing a CCS adapter.

Was just charging there over the weekend, and didn't seem to get any attitude from the staff (even though I was wearing my Santa Barbara Casual [shorts and a t-shirt]).
