Supercharger - Honolulu, HI - Kahala Resort (12 stalls)

Yeah I'm not complaining about Pearlridge, I'm genuinely hoping they're able to figure out getting more power to the site. 300kw is better than nothing, and it sounds like the new transformer is the solution, that's awesome. Hopefully all those visitors who complain won't be clogging anything...

Supercharger - Honolulu, HI - Kahala Resort (12 stalls)

I feel like I'm a bit of a broken record harping on this 😅 but * closing the charger so they can park their guests instead * forcing people to valet, and charging to valet * seeing it as an "added amenity to people who decide to visit the hotel" instead of a "charging hub where you just plug in"...

Supercharger - Honolulu, HI - Kahala Resort (12 stalls)

It's great that people enjoy the experience, though I don't understand any of the rationale. There wouldn't be lines like Pearlridge because presumably (I bet I'm about to find out this is incorrect) Kahala isn't sharing 300kw between all of their chargers like Pearlridge does. Superchargers...

Hopefully you're in a majority for whom this pricing is straightforward, but it seems like there is a lot of confusion - and the fact we disagree on this suggests to me that the FAQ is not clear. Perhaps people reading the first answer will get it quicker, as you did - but if I'm going there...

    Goodyear Eagle F1 tire damage?

ooh interesting, thanks! I guess our roads are hot, but as far as I know there's no suspension issues, at least it doesn't feel like it - and I have never raced the thing 😅. I heard from someone else that it might be common over here with these tires though. I checked a friend's M3 with...

    Goodyear Eagle F1 tire damage?

MY with ~11k miles and the front tires (only the front) and seem to have damage in the form of rubber chunks coming off. City/highway driving, fairly good roads, have never driven the car off-road, we don't have winter weather - is this a known issue or seem weird? The tread depth is ok, the...

Supercharger - Honolulu, HI - Kahala Resort (12 stalls)

The app has now updated to reflect the cost @ $6/20min. @lensovet the FAQ link is helpful, but the FAQ is at fault for not being clear too. You posted the first question "How much is Parking" but skipped the next FAQ about electric charging specifically (which is the section people wanting to...

Supercharger - Honolulu, HI - Kahala Resort (12 stalls)

Sure, in a way. I guess I was thinking the "this time I'll go grab dinner because I have some free time" and then next time "I'll go grab a drink while I wait" and the next time "I'm in a hurry and will not go inside today" should be a reasonable expectation for them - not to mention the...

Supercharger - Honolulu, HI - Kahala Resort (12 stalls)

Hopefully that's true, and they stop trying to make money from it. I guess if Tesla footed the bill, then all of us who ultimately paid for it (Tesla's customers) will just have to patiently wait for them to figure out this current idea makes little sense, and to then open it up as a public...

Supercharger - Honolulu, HI - Kahala Resort (12 stalls)

Yep this is a good point - actually the situations where a supercharger would beat a level 2 charger would be fairly rare I would think for hotel guests on the island. You will always be at 100% in the morning and you’re not doing laps of the island every day so you’re never going to run out of...

Supercharger - Honolulu, HI - Kahala Resort (12 stalls)

If that's correct, surely the hotel's benefit should be the increased foot traffic and related business, just like the majority of other Supercharger locations. It's funny (and seemingly always a hotel) when the sites try to over-think it and end up messing the whole thing up. The Stanley Hotel...

Is it possible we now have both the slowest (Aiea) and the most expensive (Kahala) superchargers in the world now?
