Got my car back from tesla-- took a total of 3 days to diagnose and fix the issue. I had a short with my A2B network as well. Techs said removing the amplifer/subwoofer without powering off the car completly can cause a short. They replaced my main computer and im back to normal with my sound...

    Sound Deadening Model 3

I agree it doesnt hurt to just be safe with disconnecting the 12v battery as it takes maybe 5 mins to do. I maybe the exception with my computer shorting but would hate for someone to have to deal with the hassle. In my personal opinion, sound dampening the trunk did help quiet down road noise...

No sound from door, rear and subwoofer speakers. Failed part is the A2B channel on the main computer. Fix is to replace the whole computer.

Rear Audio Amp Won't Turn On [after installation and removal of aftermarket subwoofer]

I had similar issues with my subwoofer/rear speakers not working. Actually tried a different amp from another car- still no sound. Tesla determind that my A2B connection was shorted. Fix is to replace the main computer--out of pocket about $2k.

Subwoofer and Door Speakers dead for months

Below is their explanation. I'm not sure what my options are in terms of 2nd opinion. I could perhaps request another service appointment at a different service center but they will charge me another $255 for diagnosis? I'm told two different tech inspected my vehicle over the course of 2 days...

No sound from front door speakers, rear speakers and subwoofer

Service tech says moving the subwoofer/amplifier caused the computer to short. Computer needs replacement- not covered under warranty. Just a PSA--please disconnect your battery if you plan on moving your subwoofer.

    Sound Deadening Model 3

Just heads up to folks looking to apply sound dampening to their trunk area. Please disconnect your 12v battery before moving the subwoofer/amplifer set. I somehow shorted my computer and it will need to be replaced. This replacement is not covered under warranty because I moved the subwoofer...

Subwoofer and Door Speakers dead for months

So total to repair is about $2k. Computer = $1,500 and labor is $484. Expensive lesson learned--make sure you disconnect the power if your moving the subwoofer. Parts are not readily available. About a month out.

Subwoofer and Door Speakers dead for months

Tesla's had my car for a day and half- i'm told there is a short circuit with the computer caused by moving the subwoofer/amplifer when i installed sound dampening material in the trunk. They are doing a few more diagnostics today but high possibility i will need a new computer. They claim...

No sound from front door speakers, rear speakers and subwoofer

There was post earlier i read where some people disconnected the cables to the amp it seemed to have fixed the issue. Now I know not to disconnect the cables again. Thanks!

No sound from front door speakers, rear speakers and subwoofer

I also have no sound from rearspeakers/subwoofer. I am on version 2022.12.3.2. I've tried the scroll reset and disconnecting/reconnecting the cables to the amplifier with no resolution. I have a service ticket open but appointment is not until end of the month.
