New LR Model Y (Dec ‘23) - losing tire pressure every couple days

Adding for benefit of anyone in similar position. I did get this fixed (drove last couple weeks and tire pressure very very consistent now in cold or hot states - quite I had expected). They did say they had small fix (interpreted that to mean to a leak may be) - the guys at this tire shop seem...

What are your home electricity rates?

Im curios how you arrive at this number while you have utility bill in front of you. Cause they tack 1000 other charges. Is the best way to divide the bill total with total kwh used that month (I believe that would be all inclusive and fair) ? I’m in Connecticut and rates seem way too high...

Purchasing experience is SO much worse than it was a few years ago

I picked up 12/14 in Mt Kisko. The whole delivery process is nasty (esp for CT registrants). I initially thought this was CT special case (no direct sells in CT, only Mt Kisko). I had minor issues with car quality (and I’m not too touchy, but do expect them to respond sensibly). The whole...

New LR Model Y (Dec ‘23) - losing tire pressure every couple days

Oddly I do have Amazon pucks but when I showed it to a perplexed tech who was about to drive my car away to their working area (not visible to customer) - he indicated they have padded lifts (?!) - and I couldn’t argue with him more. Just wary of taking 20 day old car to them - but hoping...

New LR Model Y (Dec ‘23) - losing tire pressure every couple days

My only hitch (and that too cause car is so new that it’s on temp number plate :)) is tire folks handling a new car in a rush (and more lifting it without pucks). But things have gotten better last year or so with many more Teslas coming in for service (in southern CT) and tire or garage folks...

New LR Model Y (Dec ‘23) - losing tire pressure every couple days

I suspected that too initially as I moved up and down I95 corridor, temps ranging from 70s to high 20s overnight and somehow my current pressure gauge also showing variations, coupled with hot/cold tire pressure thing. I just don’t see the consistency yet but being in consistent temps over this...

New LR Model Y (Dec ‘23) - losing tire pressure every couple days

makes sense - will monitor today as well (esp after I inflated yesterday morning, at least temps last 2 days within the region won’t make it change significantly). App does show temp moved from 45psi to 41psi in this tire remotely but will check later in the day after it’s run a bit (I suspect...

New LR Model Y (Dec ‘23) - losing tire pressure every couple days

It seems like it’s holding around 39/38 PSI - was just concerned that it will go lower and give an alarm or other issues while someone else in family uses it and inflated it again to 43/cold PSI.

New LR Model Y (Dec ‘23) - losing tire pressure every couple days

Also there is no Discount Tire around here. So either Tesla or local tire shop would bet only options

New LR Model Y (Dec ‘23) - losing tire pressure every couple days

Ok - but if they cannot “see” the nail would Tesla take a look (their mobile service has come in before - about 45m away from nearest service center) ? Just looks more like valve or other tire issue than flat up nail - just the slowness of PSI going down over days. Drove it over 400 mile trip...

New LR Model Y (Dec ‘23) - losing tire pressure every couple days

Have a new LR Model Y (Dec ‘23). It’s got close to 1k miles. Have been noticing I need to add pressure to one of the tires (goes down to 39ish PSI after I fill it up to 44-45 hot). This is with in town drive (<50 miles for daily work drive). I have to inflate it every other day. This is with...

what PSI do you inflate your tires to

Could I also ask you if you did alignment during those 18k miles and at what point in terms of miles? I had Model 3 and OEM lasted only 18k. My second set has lasted close to 30k now! Though nearing its life and due a swap. Location of drive and style did not change much. With 2nd set I was...

what PSI do you inflate your tires to

Is this cold tire pressure or hot (after car has run for at least 30m) ? break it up for me please Also is it right pressure for winter (east coast winter highway drive)? If I can add more to the twist - is it recommended for <500 mile new car (I believe new tires need some “break in” time?)...

Do you get both $500 discount and 10,000 referral credit if you refer yourself?

Have you ever used Acceleration Boost? Just wondering practical utility of getting it. I still don’t see FSD but have 10k credits as well. I do see free SC under Account > Charging in the app. I think by 10k credits you have option of getting 3 month FSD. Not sure how useful vision based FSD...

Do you get both $500 discount and 10,000 referral credit if you refer yourself?

Took delivery of new MY yesterday. I don’t see any 3 months FSD thing. I’m checking under “Software” on display. Only shows Autopilot as Included package. I do see 10,000 points available under redeem. But no FSD. The person at delivery said it may take a day or two for system to recognize and...
