Well this little idea didn't last very long. I'm cancelling my Tesla Models S Plaid order. I got a call from the dealer in Washington and they told me they won't ship a leased car to Alaska and the only way I could get the car would be to fly down there and collect it and arrange for my own...

Up until yesterday, my Plaid order still said delivery would take place in December 2022. Now I get this: Estimated Delivery: TBD Delivery timing will be available soon

I've placed an order for a Model S Plaid, but don't have a VIN yet. I would hope that I'll get a car with the upgraded brakes. Seems kind of silly to remove the Tesla logo, but whatever.

I removed FSD from the car I'm ordering because I'm going to lease the car and it just doesn't make sense to spend $15k on that option if I can subscribe to it for $199 a month. So, if I don't order FSD with the car initially, it will still have the hardware and I just need to subscribe to FSD...
