I was actually testing leaving on dog mode to see if it would keep the wifi on and so far after15-20 minutes it seems to be connected fine and the car appears offline when checking on a secondary phone. I am turning off bluetooth on my primary phone to make sure people can't actually drive off...

I've had limited success by connecting my phone to the car as a hotspot and then turning off data. It only works for a little while though and then the wifi turns back off. Wish there was an easier way
