    False FSD Strikes?

Save the smartass quips for the comments section of youtube, biased Tesla fanboy. The adults are talking

    False FSD Strikes?

I received my second strike today an a 2 hour drive. My hand was on the wheel for the ENTIRE drive and I looked away to check my phone and even gave the wheel a shake to let it know I was attentive, and I dinged me for not keeping strict eye contact on the road. Service advisor says its a temp...

Running Steam with USB or SSD installed can cause software crash WHILE DRIVING!

That’s exactly how I set it up as well. I’ve just had it installed a few weeks longer than you. Please report back if you do experience any issues

Running Steam with USB or SSD installed can cause software crash WHILE DRIVING!

Sadly I cannot edit my original post to include that it was the Tesla service technician who was adamant that my MS Plaid had 16GB of storage, no more. Not a good sign if the service reps dont understand their own vehicles. I understand the differences between storage and RAM, but that...

Running Steam with USB or SSD installed can cause software crash WHILE DRIVING!

How long have you been using the SSD? What model? Did you format the drive within the Steam app for the purposes of game saves?

Running Steam with USB or SSD installed can cause software crash WHILE DRIVING!

This is not accurate, at least not in my case. The first thing I did upon system crash is to attempt to use the center console buttons to place the car in drive. They were inoperable

Running Steam with USB or SSD installed can cause software crash WHILE DRIVING!

Wow, a lot of misinformation here. Only 16GB of storage is allocated to Infotainment in a 2022 MS Plaid (I’m assuming its the same for the standard MS), which you can easily verify by selecting the Software tab and clicking the link to display additional vehicle info (image attached). I believe...

Running Steam with USB or SSD installed can cause software crash WHILE DRIVING!

I am surprised this isn’t being discussed by all the major EV news oulets, as it’s a huge liability and making my Model S Plaid inoperable at times. Nutshell: If you installed Steam to play games after the December update and you’re using a USB stick or SSD in the glovebox…there is a known...

    Snippiness 2.0

Life advice and mindless personal attacks coming from a guy with over 7,000 posts on an EV forum. Oh that’s just precious. Thanks for the tip, but I don’t take life advice from anyone who spends that much time online. That’ like taking dating advice from a Twitch streamer. You should get out...

Tesla Quietly Removes Wood Trim Interior Option for MS Plaid

Any other potential Plaid owners infuriated over the decision to remove the wood trim interior option from the Plaid models? It's no longer available on the configurator on the website. For some, the Long Range now offers a more luxury interior than the more expensive model. Wtf? Not everybody...

Plaid Impressions, Road Noise & Real Solutions

That isn’t the issue considering that the P90D I drove was considerably quieter at highway speeds, I could live with the P90D. I cannot however live with the wind/cabin noise I experienced in the Plaid. This makes me question the possible variance from one vehicle to another. Reminds me of...

first time buyer to model s, please help

I have driven a 2016 P90D Ludacris and I actually prefer it's suspension to the 2020 Raven Model S Performance which has the new air suspension. The P90D also had lower cabin/road/wind noise than the newer Model S performance. However, the battery degradation on the P90D was the worst of the...

Cabin noise refreshed 2021 Model S

I posted another thread on my impressions of the Plaid and concerns with cabin/wind noise. I've tested quite a few models with a DB meter app. At 75mph, the pre-raven Model S P90D was my favorite at 69-70db. A raven Model S performance was the worst, even thought I tested it at 71-72db the...

Plaid Impressions, Road Noise & Real Solutions

Now that is an interesting assesment. And one that I had not noticed or taken into consideration. If the frameless windows are the culprit, I'm hoping someone has a DIY solution. It truly is a shame that Tesla has gone in that direction if that is indeed the case.

Plaid Impressions, Road Noise & Real Solutions

I'm waiting on the AMG version actually. The front grill and overall shape of the current model is not my cup of tea. Reminds me of when manufacturers intentionally made their electric cars the least visually appealing in their lineup
