Model Y RWD now available. RWD+AWD now eligible for iZEV Rebate

Do you have sentry mode turned on at home? If so, your car is not 'asleep' and what you're hearing is the coolant pump running while the car stays awake. Turn off sentry mode at home (if its safe to do so) and you'll find that the car will fall asleep and you'll no longer hear any sound coming...

Flaky charge port door after latest upgrade?

Old thread but this issue has been fully resolved in 2022.4.5.1. The charge port now takes a few seconds to close after unplugging the charge cable.

Flaky charge port door after latest upgrade?

I was looking for a thread to make sure it wasn't just me. I have the exact same issue since the latest update. When I am leaving home, I press the button on the connector handle and the charge door wants to close right away - so I have to be really quick to unplug. Also, when I get home I press...

Windshield Replacement For Model 3 - Toronto Area

I am not sure whether you are asking me or OP. I had a small chip which (thankfully) did not develop into a crack so I just left it as-is.

Is that a "emergency disconnect" tool hanging on the left in the first pic? :D

Windshield Replacement For Model 3 - Toronto Area

Does anybody have any suggestions for getting a very small rock chip fixed by a 3rd party vendor? Tesla SC wants to replace the entire windshield per the cost estimate that they just sent to me for the appointment that I had booked via the app - $732 parts + $350 labor.

Wow, doing some of that PPF yourself is quite impressive! I too have full frontal coverage (bumper, hood, mirror covers, A-pillars, rocker panels, rear bumper luggage area) but I got it done by a shop. Also a Yale Assure owner but with the August module. I am a Homekit guy :)

Windshield Replacement For Model 3 - Toronto Area

Thanks! I have tried one of those DIY kits in the past on my BMW but its not quite the same as a professional job. They are able to apply more pressure with their tools and get the epoxy to push into the crack a lot better.

Windshield Replacement For Model 3 - Toronto Area

Noticed a small chip right next to the passenger side A-pillar this morning. I called Speedy and they said that they aren't allowed to work on Tesla since they don't have access to Tesla OEM windshields in case the crack spreads while they're working on it. Did anybody here have luck with a...

Ha! E46 owner here - 2004 330i sedan (with a whole bunch of mods). But I have special respect for cool wagon owners. I am curious - did you do the ceramic coating and PPF by yourself? PS: Is that a Yale Assure smartlock for the garage door? Ok, this is getting weird now :D

Model 3 new USB C center console data hub from model Y?

This would be more valuable as we'd be able to move the sentry SSD into the glovebox and lock it with the PIN.
