I'm in New Jersey and the Tesla site states to upload a PDF of the insurance policy that must include the Tesla VIN. Well, I don't have a VIN yet lol. Worried that this might hold up progress of the build but hopefully that's not the case. LR, RMC paint, B/W interior, Induction wheels.

MAY10 code still works and there is a video by i1Tesla iirc where he mentions a different code that also worked when I tried it.

Best bet is to go to Facebook Marketplace and search for powder coat. A lot of the places that do car wraps also do powder coating wheels, painting calipers OR they have a shop they send those out to. iLLmatic Wraps is the NJ shop i spoke to, but Bozer's $120 a wheel sounds like a better deal!!

Jim, that looks great. I also looked at those wheel bands and wondered if the red ones would look good on the gemini wheels (I'm also getting a red MY). The only difference is i was planning on powdercoating in matte black and not glossy. Very nice, enjoy!

No problem! I'm still tempted to leave the Gemini wheels on, pay the $800 for powdercoating them and then pick up the induction wheels at a later date from someone looking to upgrade. Even once Tesla adds them to the shop, they will be premium priced (ie not $2000), based on the other wheels...

Don't know about balancing but yes on the other two. I wont find out because now with the price drop, I will be getting the induction wheels instead.

For anyone wanting a ballpark figure, I priced this out in Northern New Jersey and Bronx NY and the estimates came in between 700-800 for powdercoating the 4 stock wheels.

If I had the option for the wrap in NJ, I'd be all over it. No equipment to worry about falling off or scratching the front, plus removable but more importantly no additional drag created/uses the car's aerodynamics as designed.
