I received my HW3 upgrade with my MCU1 AP2.5 EAP to MCU2 package a few months ago and a few phantom brakes are gone. I guess you will receive the HW3 upgrade only if you purchase FSD (or if available the subscription + additional $1,500 fee for the HW3 upgrade).

My MX was produced in July 2017 and has MCU1 and HW2.5 with EAP installed. Why the hell shall I pay a $1,500 fee in addition to the $99 subscription? They said officially with their statement of Oct. 2016 that "all Tesla cars being produced now have FSD hardware". That means MCU2 + HW3 for free...

Well, they said back in 2016 that all cars beginning with production date Oct. 2016 are FSD ready. They were selling MCU1 with AP 2.0 and 2.5 like hell till 2018. So, why shall you pay again $1,500 for what was already promised?
