Is the current NoA helpful or harmful?

I couldn't agree more. Well stated.

    Firmware 2019.12.1.2

As of this update, I have had to remove my iPhone from my pocket and hold lateral in my palm in order for the door to unlock. Previously, phone could remain in my pocket. Could be an iPhone thing or a Tesla thing.

    Firmware 2019.12.1.2

As of this update, I now have to remove my iPhone from my pocket and hold lateral in my palm in order to get the door to unlock. Previously, the phone could remain in my pocket. Could be an iPhone issue, but it is really not a concern to have to take out my phone on entry.

BMW I3 and Chevy Bolt versus the M3

I find that just being in AP with a distance of 3 cars is more than sufficient in that I personally never have to use brake. It has ALWAYS braked appropriately to a complete stop (except when first car coming up to redlight or stop sign). I hope the upcoming autonomous driving chip will resolve...

Navigate on Autopilot is Going to Cause Accidents

    Model 3 Software Update 2018.42.x

It did say the cameras would need to recalibrate in the notes, but I did not notice any delays when I got in this morning. I was able to immediately engage NOP when leaving the garage and drove in using NOP with no issues. Not sure where the "calibrating at xx%" would be,

    Model 3 Software Update 2018.42.x

Got my update last night to latest. When I go in the car this morning my "Low Pressure" alarm was triggered. Could be coincidence, but I wonder if they fixed a bug in that module as well. I had to add almost 7 PSI to each tire.

Blog A Look at Tesla's EV Competition in 2019

I think a distinct advantage that TESLA has over these competitors is their ability to provide OTA changes to address deficiencies and improvements (even net new functionality). It was not addressed in this report and until this is standard, I would not even consider another competitor.
