Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

Gear selector is slightly more difficult to read out and to implement as well.... but surely doable. At this stage, all this needs quite some mod-ing, and soldering.... so not in the state to be an off the shelf product, but there are more parties interested in this development so I'm sure...

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

I'm working together with the guys from S3xy buttons on this. I'm reading the stalks and converting into meaningful info, they do the injection. I think it is CAN at the moment but to the best of my knowledge it will be Lin at some point. Idea is to make an off the shelf aftermarket product with...

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

Me2. Hate the fact that I've bought the car in December, asked about round wheel, told no, just to find out 2 weeks later is an option, to pay 900 to order one, to find out that by the time I've paid 900 to get a round one, people have to pay 200 extra to get the yoke... that made it all very...

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

I've ended up sending 3.3V + ADS1115 to read the returns and defining a from-too range for each action. learning approach is cleaner and nicer.... though :)

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

Well I'm one of the funders of AAWireless (see aawireless.io) and I'm 100% sure there is a market to it. I'm in talks with the guys from s3xy buttons to make this an off the shelf product as I'm sure there is a need to it. If you are looking for investor, do send me a PM and we can talk. Now...

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

@rhuber - could you please share the wiring on how to read out the analog signal from the stalk. Managed to get the turn signal voltage but not able to figure out the wiper/wash and high-beam one. All I need is to share how to send / receive the voltages from which pins, rest should be able to...

Enhance Auto - aka S3XY buttons working on something interesting for refreshed S/X

Delay is due to button wake up time. As those buttons are BLE, the button is in sleep mode to preserve power, and it only wakes up and connects when you press it. Repetitive pressing will make the delay almost non existing. Higley likely for the stalks project the implementation will be...

Yeah actually what I'm picking up now will be injected to CAN using S3XY buttons commander, for now :)

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

Hi. Picking up this older post, any chance you could share the wiring diagram to avoid figuring it all out from 0? Fitted a round steering wheel but the lack of stalks is killing me, so decided to go down this path.... have and ADC and a pi at hand... so time to play around. At first I will like...

    Accessing webpage on gatewa's IP

Agree I'm not a fan of rooted apps either, so if possible I will like to avoid it.

    Accessing webpage on gatewa's IP

Well if the Gateway cannot be accessed it means it will need a rooted phone. I will see I do have quite a few developments still ongoing but might try to put something together to see if the performance is enough for a decent experience.

Oh, you are saying that the Wifi is disabled while on the move?

    Accessing webpage on gatewa's IP

Yes I had more ore less the same idea, but without adding RPI to it, simply use the phone, as a server, so it will look like: Android Auto -> APP (converts h264 to jpg) -> push jpg -> connected browser connected browsers touch -> app -> Android Auto I will have a look if there is any way (at...
