    Supercharging more expensive than petrol?

Electricity is expensive in Aus as they don’t have thousands of miles of coastline for cheap wind power or massive uninhabitable areas of land where the sun shines a lot.

Congestion charge exemption, do you need to register your car?

At the moment it’s £10 to park all day + some electricity compared with £18 for the train + £6 to park at the station. Driving is cheaper and safer right now.

    London congestion charge exemption renewal

There is no need to register for the LEZ if you have a zero emission vehicle. If you want to avoid the congestion charge in London then you have to register and pay £10 annual to get a 100% discount on the congestion charge for a zero emission vehicle. Why the Congestion Charge discount...

What do you miss about your previous car?

My leaf handles the bumps better but as I’m tall I find the driving position a bit squashed and the steering wheel adjustment lacking in the leaf.

What do you miss about your previous car?

Adaptive suspension. Alloys that were slightly tougher than butter.

    [UK] 2020.40.x

Why? Four digits will stop the opportunistic thief if you forget to lock the car. The pin is a good feature but like all passwords they are susceptible to the owner of the password being coerced into providing them. If someone wants your car badly they will probably make you give it to them...

    Ride Quality M3LR

Thanks. I think I am going to have to leave it and see how it improves.

    Ride Quality M3LR

At the rear on each wheel I’ve found these on each damper. Should they be there is the question? They are about three inches long and compress slightly under pressure from my fingers?

    Ride Quality M3LR

I don’t want it to dive particularly. Just used to a car nosing down under heavy breaking and the M3 doesn’t so wondered what others were experiencing and if my experience was different and therefore something to investigate.

    Ride Quality M3LR

So most people saying the ride quality is pretty good and the others saying it is overlay harsh. It'll be going up in the air tomorrow so I can have a proper look and check there is nothing looking out of place underneath.

    Ride Quality M3LR

Thanks. I’ve had a quick look but can’t see anything obvious. Waiting for a trolley Jack and some lifting pucks so I can get a wheel off and have a proper look. In a totally non scientific test pushing the back down (boot lip) generates almost no movement whereas I can get more out of the...

    Ride Quality M3LR

It’s three weeks old and I’ve done 1000 miles. First noticed it on a long motorway drive but it’s noticeable on all roads.

    Ride Quality M3LR

I came from an X3 but had a 328, M135 and Scirocco before and the ride is significantly worse than any of those. Still live in the same are so same roads. Would also say that if I break hard there is no downward movement at the front of the car stays perfectly flat. Under hard braking I’d...

    Ride Quality M3LR

Looking for others opinions on ride quality. I have a M3LR on standard wheels. I’ve dropped tire pressure to 39 PSI already but the ride is still harsh, I feel every bump and undulation in the road surface at the moment. It feels like there is little to no damping taking place in the car at...
