What is considered a "long trip" when considering charging to 100%?

depends on the battery, NCA and NMC batteries should really be avoided to be stored at above 60% (so for Teslas thats above 56%ish displayed SOC), unless you store at or above 90%. Worst SOC is 80%. For daily medium distance driving 80% is still ok, because the car doesnt sit much at 80% and you...

    Range-Loss Related to Heat?

Ah the good old 50 psi on long roadtrips.

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

yeah pretty much. to hit EPA cosumption on the model 3 you have to hit around 150w/km which is a bit less than that but i guess doesnt include the buffer. In the test the aliexpress covers were just v slightly better than the tesla covers. The orbitals are slightly better than no covers at all -...

    Hard water marks on car?

that is not a fair comparison. For one you polished the spots off with the glass cook one (you could also just polish the waterspots with a carpolish) and on the other hand i doubt the CG waterspot remover has such poor performance.

    whine on decell and accell

this sounds cool but i dont have that sound for sure.

    Hard water marks on car?

no dont use any wool at all. The product is a chemical waterspot dissolver/remover. You apply the gel with a sponge/microbier and spread it and then leave it on for maybe 1-5min in a thin layer and then just remove it with either wash or some detailer spray etc. Could possibly do a second...

What is considered a "long trip" when considering charging to 100%?

unless its an NMC battery keeping the car at 100% doesnt hurt the car nearly as bad as tesla makes it out to be.

    Hard water marks on car?

Theres lots of waterspot removers - all mostly crap. If you have sealant or ceramic coating on the waterspot removers struggle anyway coz you get fine droplets rather than a nice solution on top. There is however one product which completely stands out from the rest and has superb waterspot...

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

i think what feels tight may not be tight under load and many owners report scratches on their rims regardless. I had my original aeros on for around a year before i replaced them with the rimetrix orbitals and i had some mild scuffs from them. However, there were owners with perhaps slightly...

    Rattle in rear (Model 3)

i had exactly this problem and the issue was the latch. what temporarily alleviated it was to take a cloth applicator for carcare products (i guess can also fold a microfibre 4x) and wedge it between seat and the.... parcelshelf. I personally had no success just putting a thin microfibre next...

    Range-Loss Related to Heat?

AC and heating makes a HUGE difference for short trips. When I lived in the tropics 400w/km was normal on short trips. Then there might be other things like overheat protection etc. Just see how much you charge to when you charge to 80% and post that here and what your kms are.

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

theres a few youtube videos and apparently the chinese got superlucky and the 18" uberturbines are actually slightly more efficient than the OEMs. I guess more testing will show.

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

No they are supertight and somewhat harder to get on than the original aeros. No movement whatsoever. (The rimetrix orbitals are more loose fitting by design)

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

urgh, i didnt remember it being THAT bad! The chinese aeros use the same rearend as the original aeros (i personally prefer rimetrix' design) but the DO cover the entire rim. Though the orbitals seem to just cover a tad more and overall look similar to a 19" rim when the tires are properly...

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

they do! I do seem to remember Teslas OEM aeros have like a 0.3mm rim from the original aeros? so I guess the China covers are more like 18.1" or so... The orbitals also mount fairly flush with the tire wheras the china rims stick kinda out by half a mm or so (same as teslas own aeros). Pic...
