    Pictures with 19 inch Wheels?

This is my friend's in LA, and at the Barstow supercharger.

    Model S Insurance

Just liability. Bodily Injury 25/50K, Property Damage 15K, Uninsured Motorist 25/50K. 12,000 miles per year. I can easily imagine how damage coverage would be very expensive for this car!

    Model S Insurance

GEICO quotes me $256 per 6 months for Model S 85KWh, just a few dollars more than I'm currently paying for a 2000 Nissan Xterra (with all the coverage "settings" remaining the same). This is in Connecticut

    Random Model S sightings

I don't know TEG, the pavement stripes in the photo are rectangular, while the ones in your overhead shot are parallelograms ;) Edit: Oh, here they are, just to the left

    REAL interior shots

I would love to see some shots of the seats from the people who have taken delivery. I've seen lots of exteriors, instrument clusters and 17" display shots, but most of the new owners don't seem to be pointing the camera down at the seats!

    Model S cross country trip/blog

I've been on the fence about my reservation for a while now, and I have to say this blog almost made me cancel! Sitting around in KOA and RV parks for hours during the day is not appealing to me, personally. (Of course, one doesn't take cross-country road trips every day, so it would actually be...

Warranty/Servicing - official Tesla responses (incl GeorgeB)

Good point; I hadn't thought of it that way. One year / 12.5K is still on the skimpy side for a car warranty, but at least it's something! Now I feel 24% better about it ;)

Warranty/Servicing - official Tesla responses (incl GeorgeB)

Ouch. This means Tesla is selling a car without a warranty. Not confidence inspiring! They can get away with this for the next year or two thanks to the pent-up demand, but it certainly won't fly with the general car-buying public. I agree with Trnsl8r above who said they're basically going with...

    Audio: Sound System Quality?

I drove a non-Performance car in Seattle, and I was seriously unimpressed with the sound system. I am not an audiophile, but I am a musician and I can generally appreciate sound quality. The quality in the car I drove was just fine, no distortion that I noticed, even loud, but there was just no...

    J1772 adapter, charging practicalities

A Tesla employee at the Seattle event today told me that you don't need the UMC for J1772 (i.e. same as others have said above), and that it would not lock at the J1772 end. So a hypothetical meanie could unplug you from the power, but wouldn't be able to take the adapter.
