The service centre will update it for free at any time I believe. It can be done at services or when warranty work being done or simply pop or send it to them. It's not clear how often this is advised I am sure they will update me on collection

My chademo is ordered and put aside for me a west Drayton. I will pick it up when I collect the car. Apprantly the service centre update the firmware on it before collection which regularly changes. I thought it wise to get the purchase out of the way in advance.
