Poll: Is FSD Worth the Cost?

I am very happy with my purchase of FSD and use the features whenever they are available. I’ve got mine set up as follows: 1. Auto adjust speed to +5 speed limit 2. Mad max mode 3. Car lengths 5 4. Turn off notifications Do I have to intervene? Occasionally Yes - in the following cases: 1...

    Roadside Assistance - First Experience

Although I’m still annoyed with myself for rimming 3 of my 4 tires over the course of a year - I’m glad to know I’m not alone. First time was on a small rotary with a really low curb in FL (right rear) where the car jumped the curb with that wheel. Second time was when I was pulling forward from...

Traded in my 2018 LR RWD for AWD: Observations

I learned from a post awhile ago that as long as I don’t respot my car when I drive into my garage ( a known bug) - when I leave the home link will work. Having said that - I notice it will still fail in any of the following situations - after a software update, if I sit in the car too long...

What's the most surprising thing you've found once you got your Tesla?

Tap it in the same direction and it goes off. Having said that, one time a new software release Stopped that from working but the next release (and currently) it’s worked for me.

I'm amazed at what owners don't know

I had the exact same experience with the exact same thought (although I was by myself) and I was also happy to educate the guy when he came over to me. He’d had his Model 3 for 6 months and had no clue about the shared chargers and the conversation led to many other things he was unaware of. He...

Things my wife said about Navigate on Autopilot tonight

I also use Mad Max with a 5 or 6 follow distance and totally agree with what you said. Having said that......many of the “wife” comments apply to my husband when I use AP on non-highway roads. He loves it on the highway but when I have to take over (because of poor lines for example) no matter...

    2019.32.9dO....

I noticed this yesterday - same pressure on accelerator from a stop and was over speed limit 50 in 1/2 the distance with 2019.32. Thought the same as you - in my head or Elon will tell us later. (LR RWD)

    Getting too used to Autopilot

I am not a software developer but I do exactly the same thing and for the same reasons. My husband is similar to your wife except that his “is that you or the car?” And “why don’t you just drive the car” comments don’t stop me from continuing to use it everywhere (with the exception of the 2...

    Getting too used to Autopilot

Agree — when you have to take it out of AP and drive it because the actual speed limit is higher than what the car thinks. I use AP all the time when driving and there are several places where the speed limits don’t match what the car shows. I blame my state’s DOT because I love my Tesla!

    Getting too used to Autopilot

Agree — it was really bad — practically making the on-ramp it’s own lane — then it seemed to be fixed and now with the latest release 20.4.2 it’s doing it again (but not as bad as initially). It makes for a lot of passenger angst — what’s happening? why did it do that? Just drive the car...

    2019.20.4.2

THANK YOU!!! I could never figure out why this happened but that is exactly what I’ve been doing! No more!

    2019.20.4.2

I’m noting some weird stuff after getting 20.4.2 yesterday. Drove for the first time today, put it in Park and the wipers came on and turning from “auto” to “off” still didn’t stop them. After a few attempts finally went off. Then driving down a 4 lane with median road (not interstate), the...

Firmware 2019.12.1.2 - Auto Pilot and Auto Steering Unavailable

This happened to me yesterday while stopped at a traffic light with autopilot and tacc on. The “hands of death” came on stating that autopilot features are not available - take control immediately. The emergency flashers were on as were headlights. I put it in park, no change. I put it back in...
