Cybertruck Steer By Wire Safety Concerns and Details

Assuming they could restart/reboot the truck I might expect the exact same failure to occur, it's probably still occurring and a reboot won't make any difference. Critical failure implies stop immediately or suffer the consequences - but it doesn't seem to totally require an instant stop...

    Rear camera when towing

Or change to the "alternate" camera behind the tailgate - on one of the side brake stacks - so that there is no interrupted rear view camera. Of course there isn't such a camera, but there could have been.

Cybertruck Steer By Wire Safety Concerns and Details

With some CT owners now having apparent software issues with their steer-by-wire I wonder why you'd take "software bug" out of "lack of redundancy"? Shouldn't redundancy take software bugs into account? ie: what's the critical path to saving the truck if there is a software bug, surely...

Cyber(nota)truck even more Not a truck than I first thought

The hubcap digging in to the tire was noticed way back in September 2023 by a tester. So why did Tesla fail to recognize the issue? https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/ct-hubcap-fitment.9273/ Look at the M in "MADE". The lower left corner of the M is cut off. I think the hubcap...

Rollaway while outside of the car

So was it the yank on the car door that finally unsettled the car enough to slide? If you frame-by-frame the video and look at one spot, say the black line formed by the panel gap at lower left. In every frame the black line is noticeably another pixel down the driveway. Sure, a little bit...

Window Pops Up When Opening Door...Why?

I get the safety-nanny reasons that a vehicle needs to be in park to open the doors from the outside, I guess. Especially for a push button door which in theory a tree branch could press, unless the button press is somehow validated as a finger. IDK. I suppose they just didn't practice...

    Cybertruck Basecamp Tent / Camping

They do show three people in the advertisement for the Basecamp, two parents and their kid. Can they fit in the tent? It does seem that the Basecamp is installed to the level of the bed tracks - just below the level of the tailgate, which means if the tailgate is closed it will interfere with...

    Cybertruck Basecamp Tent / Camping

Elon did show the capabilities of the Cybertruck: Faster in a 1/4 mile 1/8 mile drag race against some kind of 911 while towing a 911 Stops various subsonic bullets against the door panels (unknown if other panels are also similarly thick) Side windows stop a bouncy baseball limp-wristedly...

    Cybertruck Basecamp Tent / Camping

If I remove the bed cover, can I use that internal space for something else, like storage? If I could get to it. It could be about 12" diameter x 4ft, plus all the track space at the front of the bed. Could we cut out a midgate too? Only half kidding..

Window Pops Up When Opening Door...Why?

Maybe it pops to to give you a little something to hold onto, as well.

    Cruise

    1) Cruise lied and misrepresented the actions of their car; after the collision it dragged the pedestrian. So any ban is entirely their fault due to this step alone However, going forward. 2) We haven't seen the video of the accident, but it is possible that the car wasn't able to tell that...

    Cruise

Cruise attempts to blame an individual car called Panini. I know that really they are giving out details, but it almost seems like they are trying to make it sound that the fleet software isn't the problem, just that car. Bad Panini! The incident occurred on October 2, 2023 at 9:29 PM PDT in...

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

That's true comedy to me. Having to buy back your functionality from a third party. Not because you want better tires or brakes, but because your car didn't come with a turn signal stalk. And didn't come with physical control buttons. It's almost like they are slowly going towards: "We sold...

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

I think it comes down to people who live in places with wide streets that don't make three different turn directions in a few seconds. Left, Right, Left, slow, flash oncoming lane to go, speed up, etc. Drive in England for a while and you'll see. It's constant turns, priority directions on...
