It's stating 2024 if you're placing a new order. Which is, on the other hand, probably grossly optimistic, but perhaps Tesla is expecting a lot of pre-orders to wait for price reductions and other trims to come out later and be able to deliver to new orders sooner than we'd expect.

Also, don't assume this is final, ramped up production line pricing. I believe the initial price was $70k? That's only a 30k premium for one of the first tri-motors off the production line.

Priority means what? A $25k vehicle, selling in huge numbers, requires a huge amount of batteries. And a cost structure to support a sales price of $25k. This all doesn't just miraculously happen instantaneously because a $25k car will be the most important car to fuel the transition to EVs.
