OWNER/OPERATOR: Bud & Alley's Restaurant
Founded in 1986 and named for a dog and cat, Bud & Alley's has been a revered gathering place by loyal patrons for great food, great fun and Seaside's finest sunsets for 27 years. South Walton's longest established restaurant, Bud & Alley's is nestled in the dunes overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Bud & Alley's has garnered numerous awards including Florida Trend Magazines Golden Spoon Hall of Fame Award as well as receiving a five star designation from the Tallahassee Democrat and annually winning Wine Spectator Magazines Award of Excellence.
In the past 7 years owner, Dave Rauschkolb has opened a Mexican style Taqueria named Taco Bar and his third restaurant, a wood fired pizza restaurant called PIZZA BAR. Both focus on the freshest, most authentic ingredients and have become wildly popular. Both are located right next to Bud & Alley's on the beach in Seaside.
Bud & Alley's employs 220 staff and in season is the 8th largest employer in Walton County

Hands Across The Sand is bringing organizations & people together who are committed to advancing clean energy initiatives & protecting our Earth, oceans & oxygen from dirty fuels
Initially created to convince the Florida legislature to drop the effort to drill 3 miles off Florida, Hands Across The Sand brought 10,000 Floridians to the beaches on February 13, 2010. From Jacksonville to Miami Beach and Key West to Pensacola all joined hands creating human lines in the sand against expanding oil drilling to Florida's waters.
On June 26th 2010 Hands Across The Sand was held in all 50 US states and in 48 countries joining people all over the world to champion clean energy and stop the expansion of more oil drilling off America's coast. Over 1000 events were organized in one month.
Annually the world wide event brings together people of all walks of life to join hands, forming human lines in the sand on America's and worlds beaches to convince our leaders to turn away from dirty fuels and embrace clean energy for a sustainable future for Earth.

We must connect with generations past, generations present and generations future and weave a thread of balance and wisdom for our planet. Forget borders, forget the elements that separate us.
