Just got an estimate from Tesla, but they only quoted a Vehicle Electrical Isolation Procedure and an Isolation/Insulation test total .55 hours. Does anyone know the likelihood of that test resulting in the need for a new battery?

Thank you for posting all of this. I believe I have the same issue on my 2014 Model S. I am loathe to let the car go (a battery replacement seems like one of the few ways to deal with the issue). At that rate, I may as well buy a model 3. I will see what we can do to salvage this car.

There is definitely torx head screw on the front side accessible behind the fender wheelwell cover. Bottom. A bit hard to reach and tighten when replacing it.

Picked up in Dec 2019 and over 50k miles. Found out when the a/c compressor crapped out, causing the car to be undeliverable at 50,300 miles.... $1100 fix.

Our 7 seat can recline on both sides.

2020 model x. Same issue. They want 2800 for a whole new seat. For now, I wedges in a 3/4 plywood board 21"x19" with one corner cut off to prevent sliding.

I will try that. But once I disconnected the connector, I was able to raise the seat. Then I lowered the seat completely using the lever, which once again worked (the front lever is still.loose). This stopped the incessant beeping. In order to stop the seat from sliding back and forth...

I have the same issue and the car is 4 years old.... I have brought it in several times and they can never recreate it..... supposedly.

Late 2019 model x now suffering the same problem. There are two gray connectors under the smaller seat when looking at it from the front. There is one more closer to the rear. By briefly disconnecting the gray cable closer to the center, I was able to cause the seat back actuator to reset and...

Same issue 2020 Model x. Several trips to service center and they could not duplicate supposedly. Now out of warranty (by 500 miles) and so I guess I will have to deal with it because a new drive unit sounds like a $3-5k job.
